I started ArmsControlWonk.com for inchoate reasons. Over time, I've constructed an elaborate post-hoc rationalization for the site focusing on four goals:
- To report items of interest to the arms control community that wouldn't make it into the New York Times (i.e. get your NFIRE fix).
- Place arms control related developments into context and correct lousy reporting.
- To explore the foundations of arms control and other cooperative security strategies.
- Finally, to amuse myself and others.
Toward that end, I have asked Paul Kerr, a Research Analyst at the Arms Control Association, to add his talents when he has the time. He has generously agreed and the site is better for it.
With a second blogger, I should state that the opinions expressed here are usually our own and never those of our respective employers, Harvard University or the Arms Control Association.
