Airborne Laser (ABL): Issues for Congress

This CRS Report raises questions about the weight of the ABL.  If it is too heavy, the Air Force will have to remove some of parts of the laser, decreasing power.  Otherwise, they could decrease the amount of fuel the ABL holds, but this would further strain the already Air Force's overstretched air fueling fleet.  The report also raises questions about the practicality of the ABL in real world situations.
