Li Bin received his Ph. D. in physics from China Academy of Engineering in 1993.  He was a SSRC-Mac Arthur peace and security fellow at MIT and Princeton University.  In 1993 to 1999, Dr. Li was a researcher at the Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics (IAPCM) and he provided technical consultations to the Chinese arms control negotiators.  At the end of 2000, Dr. Li joined Tsinghua University.  Now he is a professor on international studies, the director of Arms Control Program and the vice chair of the Department of International Relations at Tsinghua University.   His research interests include China's nuclear and space and arms control policy.
